It is broken down into categories of beans, grains, rice, combinations, bread, dressings, sauces and mixes. Within each section you will find appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts--just like our classes. The fun part about this cookbook is that you can substitute any grain, any rice, or any bean, in any recipe! You can also use freeze dried, frozen, fresh or dehydrated foods in any of the recipes. Our goal was to finally give you a cookbook that you can use for everyday cooking as well as food storage cooking. The secret is to start with a base of grains, rice or beans then add your vegetables and fruits. This can save you over 50% on your grocery bill. Another added advantage is that it will naturally up your intake of fiber. Each full meal is usually around 20 to 30 g of fiber. That is more than you normally get in a full day of processed food consumption. This cookbook is a collection of recipes that have been modified and changed to meet our food storage needs, and makes use of our current home supplies.
