Tomato powder is extremely versatile. Depending on how much water you add, you will get tomato puree, tomato sauce or tomato juice. The color may be darker (more intense) and slightly more acidic but it can be used in any recipe calling for those forms of pureed tomatoes.
Directions: When storing this and any other powdered vegetable, place it in an airtight container. It can draw moisture from the air and tends to clump. It is still useable in this condition; just break off a piece, add water and use it. Add it to soups, stews, breads, or pasta. Use it as a colorant in frostings, cakes, pastas, soups, stews, tomato sauces, casseroles.
Rehydration ratio: 1:4
